Marc Alan Lee, born on March 20, 1978, in Portland, Oregon, was a distinguished U.S. Navy SEAL and the first SEAL to lose his life in Operation Iraqi Freedom. On August 2, 2006, during a mission in Ramadi, Iraq, Marc heroically provided cover fire to protect his team from enemy forces. His selfless actions saved numerous lives but ultimately led to his own. For his extraordinary bravery, Marc was posthumously awarded the Silver Star, Bronze Star with Valor, and Purple Heart. #navyseal #navyseals
